The XVI ISBCW scientific committee will soon be inviting abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations for the different session themes. Learn more about the proposed sessions and their intended scope here.

The XVI ISBCW scientific committee invites abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations for the different session themes.

 

All abstracts must follow the instructions listed below and be submitted online by xx day, month 2021. Please note that abstracts will only be accepted if the first author –and the presenting author, if it were someone else- has registered and paid their registration.

– Abstracts can be submitted for either oral or poster presentation.

 

– Only two abstracts are allowed per first author, but the first author can be a co-author on other abstracts.

 

– If an author would like to submit more than one abstract, these should be sent from the same account/email.

 

– Please note that some requests for talks may need to be moved to poster presentations.

 

– Submission of the abstract means consent to publication of the abstract in the abstract book/proceedings, to distribution of the abstract book/proceedings containing your abstract to conference attendees and, occasionally, to other interested persons.

Presentation Types

Oral presentations:

A spoken presentation, including introduction, and questions and answers. Presenters will display the research and/or findings of their accepted abstract in a PowerPoint presentation.

Poster:

The Conference will allot time to poster presentations with the opportunity for audience participation.

Oral presentations and Poster Guidelines

When submitting your abstract, please follow the guidelines below to what your abstract should include:

 

– an introductory statement that outlines the background and significance of the study
– a succinct description of the basic methodologies
– a clear indication of the major findings of the study
– a concluding statement
– Abstracts cannot contain more than 500 words in the main body of the abstract. –

Session moderators will be encouraged to initiate and arrange for publication of sections of the proceedings in suitable journals, in special issues, and/or in books that highlight advances in the topics presented at the congress.
